Built in 2020, this newly constructed home offered a blank canvas of white walls. Layers of color, texture, and patina were added to bring warmth and personality, creating a place equally suited to family life and large gatherings. To enhance the light in the main living areas, a local plaster craftsman mixed a custom Venetian finish in a pale, luminous shade. Textiles, furnishings and wallcoverings were chosen for their sense of ease and permanence, a mix of antiques and carefully crafted new upholstery that lends both refinement and familiarity. The art collection was thoughtfully curated, each piece representing a meaningful moment in the family’s life, adding a personal layer of narrative to a home designed to feel collected and personal. Outside, the landscape unfolds in a series of layered Southern gardens filled with climbing roses, fragrant gardenias, and hydrangeas beside a pea gravel courtyard that hosts ping pong tournaments as well as elegant open air dinners under the stars.
